DDT DIRECT TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT
Displays the temperature of an object in numeric form
DDT's numeric temperature readings,
displayed in one degree increments, are much more
useful than non-numeric relative heat bars. Some examples
are described below:
-
Helps you verify if objects are
hot enough to outgas.
-
Helps you identify rising (or falling)
relative temperatures.
-
Helps you verify the presence of
extension behind walls.
-
Helps you decide if you need to
pull walls or ceiling during overhaul.
-
Helps you determine if the fire
attack is making progress (dissipating heat), or
if the scene is actually getting hotter.
COLD CLIMATE COMPENSATION (CCC)
Competitive entry-level cameras do not incorporate electronic
thermal management. When these competitive cameras are
left in the cold (when assigned to a truck parked outside
in the winter) for an extended period of time, they
simply will not work.
When the K80 FIRECAM is switched on, the CCC automatically
senses internal temperature and fires-up heating elements
to warm up the sensor to its correct operating temperature.
7 HOUR SUPERCELL BATTERIES
When you need the extra time and security of longer
run times, for those special response situation
AA DISPOSABLE BATTERY CAPABILITY.
Enable the K80 FIRECAM to operate on disposable double-A
batteries.
TAC-GRIP HANDLE
Detachable multi-use grip that enables you to use your
hands for other tasks while holding the camera.
UNIVERSAL-T STANDARD TRANSMITTER
Unsecured wireless transmission from the K80 FIRECAM
to the command receiver. This system incorporates the
same type of transmission technology used by competitive
cameras and is compatible with other brands of thermal
imagers. Used primarily when a department has other
brands of cameras already in service.
FAST ATTACK TRUCK MOUNT SYSTEM
Mounting device with quick-release mechanism that enables
storage in an apparatus or command vehicle with automatic
charging capability for a perpetual state of readiness.
